Stainless Steel DOT Approved Brake Lines For Your Nissan 240SX
Call Us At 866-229-7939 For A Free Stainless Steel Brake Line Informational Flyer Today!!
If you run your car at maximum braking on the track or on the street, the brake lines are a big consideration that are often over looked. Stock rubber lines expand under hard braking, and result in a soft pedal when you want it least. They are constaintly exposed to the elements on the street, which decreases their life span. Plus these lines can fail on the inside, when you cannot see the issues until it's too late.
If you want to keep your car street legal, then plastic coated stainless steel lines are the only answer. We offer replacement lines that will bolt right into place on your Nissans existing brake system. You need to beware of on line, low cost brake lines, that often are made in South America, or China. They do not meet DOT standards, and are subject to failure to faulty craftsmanship.
Our shop is an authorzed Brakequip dealer, and we use a state of the art crimping machine, and 2700 psi. pressure tester, to insure that the highest quality standards are met. We can custom build lines for your car, and offer ready to go street/race packages, complete with the necessary hardware to get the replacement job done, quickly on a Saturday morning.

Everyone knows SEMA is the greatest automotive show in the world. Not everyone knows that it is also the biggest trade show in the US. Held every year in Las Vegas, and mostly closed to the general public, it is the place to see the very best in speed machines. We have included a few photos from this years show, for those who are partial to the soon to be "new classic" Nissan 240 SX, and it's cousins as well. Enjoy!

Nissan 240SX Suspension Mods
The only serious choice for track day or drift car suspension is to go with coil over shocks. They are not inexpensive, but there are some distinct advantages, that come with using them. Good reasons, include getting the shock as close to the center line of the tire as possible, for a reduced overall motion ratio. This allows running a softer spring and staying in better contact with the track surface, which is why you see coil overs on so many race cars. Ride height adjustment is another feature, since these shocks are fairly easy to raise up or down (see the blue collar, in the photo below). Next up will be five bolt hubs, which is a fairly involved job. Bring your big hammer, and a lot of determination.

The Nissan 240SX Outer Fenders Are In
Our build car waited for close to a year, but these outer fenders finally arrived from Japan. They are very well made, light weight, and fit almost perfectly, to the existing body work. We cut out the inner and outer fenders for tire clearance. These nicely made units will cover up the yet to come wide tires, lowered suspension, and any imperfections, below the surface.

Nissan 240SX Wiring Issue
Often the first thing the owner of a Nissan 240 SX wants to do is lower the car. It's a good way to improve handling, but one big consideration is the wiring that runs thru the engine comparment. If the car is too low, the tire can actually come in contact with the wires, which will lead to much bigger problems. We are in the process of taking the left front fender off, and getting the wires up, and out of the way. This is something that is very easy to over look, but a detail that deserves close attention.

When selecting a replacement steering wheel for your Nissan 240 SX project, there is really only one choice. The Sparco R325 race proven unit will keep your finger tips in close contact with the road at all times. We have run them on our street and road race cars, and they are seen on many of the endurance race vehicles at Daytona, and LeMans. $249.95 makes this a very good deal, with shipping and handling included. Available on the web at: http://gearheadzproducts.com/search.aspx?find=sparco
If you are headed to the race track with your car, you may want to consider a quick release steering wheel coupler. Many racing organizations require them. Our prefered brand is NRG Innovations. Nissan 240SX Gets Prepped
This is our newest project car, a "classic" 1995 Nissan 240SX. It was brought back from Indiana in running condition, for a fair price, and will be getting the once over from our crew. First thing to go was the stock exhaust. It was replaced with an HK High Power unit, part number HKS 3203-EX021 http://gearheadzproducts.com/search.aspx?find=HK+exhaust This was a pretty easy install, and only took an hour or so, with ordinary hand tools, no torches required. The system comes in a very shipable box, and has complete instructions, as well. The new sound going down the road is awesome, but not so loud that you can't hear the "car tunes", while crusing the streets.
